When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email address, company or brand name, the project details you share, and how you heard about us. That form is processed by Formspree, the service that delivers your message to our inbox. If you reach out by email instead, we receive whatever you choose to include there.
If you accept our analytics cookie, we also collect some basic, aggregated information about how visitors use this site — see Cookies below.
We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the agreed work. We don't sell your information or share it with third parties for marketing.
Under privacy law, we need a reason to handle your personal data. Here's ours:
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this site — nothing more. It only runs if you click Accept on the cookie banner; if you click Decline, or don't choose at all, it stays off.
When it's running, it collects things like which pages you visit, what site or search sent you here, your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city or region level, not your exact address). This data is kept for 14 months and then automatically deleted.
You can change your mind anytime — use the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer of any page to update your choice.
We keep things only as long as we need to:
Your information is stored and processed in Canada, which the European Commission recognizes as providing an adequate level of data protection — so data can flow between the EU/EEA and Canada without extra safeguards.
If you've consented to analytics, some data may also be processed by Google in the United States, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Wherever you're based, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these, email hello@shakihi.com.
If you're in the Netherlands or elsewhere in the EU and you don't think we've handled your data properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. For the Netherlands, that's the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
We may update this policy periodically. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
